Challenge Match Goal Exceeded!

On Thursday, April 30th, Judy Heumann spoke at the virtual Champions for Children event. Judy’s impact on the Americans with Disability Act is pivotal. She co-authored Being Heumann: An Unrepentant Memoir of a Disability Rights Activist and is one of Time Magazine’s “100 Women of the Year.” She was joined by, Ian Watlington, who moderated the discussion. Ian is a Denver native, Senior Disability Advocacy Specialist for the National Disability Rights Network, and long-time Sewall friend.

The Sewall Board and Committees wanted to engage the community with a matching gift challenge to support our inclusion mission and constituents during this difficult time. If 100 members of our community made a gift on or before 4/30/21, they agreed to contribute $30,000.

We did it! More than 112 members of the Sewall community were a part of raising $54,623 to support the children and families Sewall serves. Thank you! If you weren’t able to join us and hear Judy speak, you can check out her talk here.
