Lion Cubs Toddler Classroom Gardening Project
This summer, children in the Lion Cub Toddler classroom were busy planting and gardening. This fun and interactive project benefitted the children by fostering collaboration, improving hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. In addition, children made friends and developed emotional bonds with others. This is important as 80% of brain development happens before age 3 and 90% before age five.
Welcome Back to School | End of Summer Programming
The summer has been fun. Sewall provided services at several sites and classrooms this summer with the addition of a summer camp, “Scampers,” for children who were kindergarten or first-grade bound. Staff is excited to be gearing up for back to school on Monday, August 23rd. Sewall’s doors will open again for full programming at seven sites and 24 classrooms across Denver. We are adhering to all state and local guidelines and mandates to ensure safety for all children, families and staff.
