Last year, Sewall was very fortunate to have 94 donors make a generous gift on Colorado Gives Day. YOUR support has enabled Sewall to continue to provide much-needed training, coaching, and supervision required for teachers to support children of different abilities to be successful in inclusive environments. For this year’s Colorado Gives Day we would love to exceed last year’s results!
While there is still much work to be done to solve the teacher shortage crisis, we are so grateful for our generous philanthropic community and for YOUR support!
Here is an example of YOUR impact in action:

Don’t Limit Me! – Megan Bomgaars
When Megan was born with Down Syndrome in 1992, her mom, Kris, was quick to enroll Megan in parent/infant program at Sewall. Kris is quick to say that they both benefited: Megan from early intervention and inclusion, and Kris from other parents as well as strategies for advocacy and collaboration.
After leaving Sewall’s services and with Kris’ advocacy, Megan went on through her schooling. She fully participated in school activities, such as the cheerleading team at Evergreen High School. Kris attributes her parenting and Megan’s success to the wisdom, guidance and skills she learned from theSewall transdisciplinary team that supported them early on.
Megan is sure to tell everyone, “Don’t limit me;” a message founded on the principle of “being fully included in her community while overcoming limitations,” taken from Megan Bomgaar’s website. Megan is one of the stars of A&E’s Primetime Emmy Award-winning TV show “Born This Way,” highlighting the everyday lives of young adults from across the country with Down Syndrome. Most recently, Artpop Cosmetics (Artpop) proudly announced that Megan Bomgaars will be Artpop’s official spokeswoman for the launch of their new campaign titled “Everyone Deserves to Feel Beautiful!”
An investment in Sewall is an investment in the future! A contribution to Sewall also qualifies for the Colorado Child Tax Credit.
