Rebecca Butt: Investment Impact
“An investment in knowledge pays the best dividends.” – Benjamin Franklin
Rebecca learned about Sewall when her young son was enrolled at a community child care that was struggling to fully include him in their full day early education program. As a diagnosis of autism became real for Brody, Rebecca continued to be a fierce advocate for Brody to get all of the necessary services for him to access preschool, but also to pave the way for his future education after early childhood.
When it was time, she also enrolled her daughter, who had no need for special services, knowing that she would benefit from the high teacher-child ratio, quality curriculum and inclusion experience. Rebecca has modeled that the impact Sewall makes is for a lifetime as she has continued her role in the school district and community in advocating for early childhood, disability rights, and inclusion. Rebecca has also continued as a donor and supporter of Sewall even as her children have grown older, knowing the impact of her investment on young children’s lives.
Marilyn Brown is asking the Sewall community to join her by stepping up and supporting our teachers for this coming year! With the current needs that Sewall is facing, she has agreed to match every gift made from now through Colorado Gives Day (December 4th) dollar for dollar up to $50,000 to support our teachers! If we can raise $50,000 from our community, Marilyn will match this with an additional $50,000!
With 26 days left in the challenge, we are 75{3636cb0a451a12ed88382a3e0ed28b2223ede70e167d2b3efd87582f6f12e3da} to goal! We are so close to unlocking an additional $50,000 for our teachers! Please make your gift today and you can help Sewall realize the $50,000 match.
Every gift, no matter the size, will go a long way towards enhancing our high teacher-child ratio, quality curriculum, inclusion, and creating better opportunities for our teachers, students, and families.
Remember, Sewall’s 17th Annual Beacon Celebration is one week away, on November 15th! Marilyn Brown has generously agreed that any tickets and sponsorship’s purchased this week count towards the match. Don’t wait until December 4th, MAKE YOUR IMPACT TODAY and GIVE NOW!
