CHAMPIONS for CHILDREN GOES VIRTUAL!
Join Us In Celebrating Champions For Children And Our We Are ALL Better Together Campaign!
CHAMPIONS FOR CHILDREN
As you probably know, we hold our annual Champions for Children luncheon every spring to support critical programs that serve more than 600 young children and their families. Right now, as the world is responding to the COVID-19 crisis with stay-at-home orders, we have moved our annual luncheon to a virtual event. It was not an easy decision, but we are committed to continue to raise the necessary funds to support our high-quality, inclusive early childhood education programs.
This year, we are honored to have our We Are All Better Together Campaign Ambassadors, Megan Bomgaars and DaeSean Hamilton tell their own stories of inclusion, and share many other stories from the Sewall family from now until May 7th.
You have been there for us in the past and now, more than ever, we need you by our side! Though not on-site, Sewall classroom teachers and therapists continue their work with children and families remotely, enhancing their use of technology to engage the children and ensure the involvement and safety of their families. Their valuable service to the health, well-being, and education of our youngest citizens is paramount at this critical time of isolation and stress for their families.
Please consider sponsoring or making a gift to support Sewall’s virtual Champions for Children event, and encourage your friends and family to join you in making a difference in the lives of our children and families. Click the button below to make your gift today!
Be sure to check out the video below on “Why Inclusion Matters” to people like Harrison and Peter. Their story would not have been possible if Sewall did not value and partner with families. Imagine the difference inclusive classrooms and teaming with families has made for the future of all the children and their families who have been served by Sewall. Thanks to your partnership, we can continue to team with families during these difficult times.
HARRISON and PETER
WHY INCLUSION MATTERS
Harrison came to Sewall to receive early intervention several years ago after he received a diagnosis of ASD (autism spectrum disorder), and, thanks in large part to his early education at Sewall and his family advocay, he continues to thrive. Peter, Harrison’s dad, shares why Sewall’s services made such a difference in their lives.
