CHAMPIONS FOR CHILDREN & INCLUSION MATTERS MATCH OPPORTUNITY UPDATE!
This year our annual Champions for Children event, which supports critical programs that serve more than 600 young children and their families, has gone virtual to continue to engage you, and all of Sewall’s partners, during this time of isolation during the COVID-19 crisis.
We Are All Better Together Campaign Ambassadors, Megan Bomgaars and DaeSean Hamilton will share their stories of inclusion on May 7th. Sewall will also feature impact stories on Why Inclusion Matters!
You have been there for us in the past and now, more than ever, we need you by our side! Though not on-site, Sewall classroom teachers and therapists continue their work with children and families remotely, enhancing their use of technology to engage the children and ensure the involvement and safety of their families. Their valuable service to the health, well-being, and education of our youngest citizens is paramount at this critical time of isolation and stress for their families.
INCLUSION MATTERS MATCH OPPORTUNITY UPDATE!
Sewall Child Development Center is fortunate to have longstanding supporters like Chuck and Wendy Fish! Chuck and Wendy have generously challenged the Sewall community with a giving participation challenge match opportunity to support Sewall’s inclusion mission!
If 50 members of our community make a gift on or before 5/7/2020, Chuck and Wendy Fish have generously offered to contribute $10,000 towards Sewall’s inclusive early childhood programs!
A gift of any size will count towards the challenge match and unlock $10,000 to support our transdisciplinary staff and the children and families that Sewall serves.
So far Sewall has been fortunate to receive 23 gifts towards the challenge of 50 gifts. That leaves just 27 gifts left to help Sewall achieve the match and unlock $10,000! Click below to make your gift today!
The $10,000 raised will allow Sewall to provide much needed resources so we continue to provide the needed level of training, coaching, and supervision required for teachers to support children of different abilities to be successful in inclusive environments. Remember, research indicates that for every $1 invested in early childhood education returns $13 in savings to society down the road!
CHARON’S STORY– WHY INCLUSION MATTERS
Charon’s children came to Sewall several years ago. During that time, Charon decided to volunteer on the Sewall board and has been involved with Sewall since 2003. Sewall’s mission of high-quality early childhood education made such an impact on her children and family, that Charon continues to share her story with friends and family.
